About the Cape Cod Baseball Umpires Association
The CCBUA is an organization dedicated to providing experienced,
trained and certified baseball officials for high school,
amateur, and youth leagues playing on Cape Cod and in Southeastern
Ma.
Our
membership is an affiliate of The Massachusetts Baseball Umpires
Association (MBUA).
Among our members are individuals that have successfully completed
the five week professional umpire’s school in Florida
and college umpires that regularly officiate in the Cape Cod
Baseball League.
We
welcome men and women, over the age of 16, interested in umpiring,
to contact us and attend our annual new umpire’s class
offered in January/February for instruction, clinics, and
testing leading to state certification.
Umpires
belonging to the CCBUA officiate high school varsity and sub-varsity
games as well as Men’s Leagues, Legion, Junior/Senior
Babe Ruth, AAU, Triple Crown, Senior Little League as well
as various tournaments held locally.
The
Cape Cod Baseball Umpires Association was formed in 1958 for
the purpose of organizing umpires and standardizing the implementation
of the rules of baseball, mechanics, and game management.
Our continued focus on training and development is assurance
that a well trained and educated official will be in control
between the lines.
